STEPHEN KING
(FOLLOWERS — DEVOTEES)
On Monday, July 20,
Rocky Wood, prominent Australian
writer, and chronicler of the life and writings of Stephen King,
appeared at the MTM Center, School Street, Lisbon Falls, for a one-hour
Question and Answer session.
This event was sponsored by
the Lisbon Historical Society and
was open to the public at no charge.
Mr. Wood is regarded as a leading expert on Stephen King's works and has
co-authored four major books with world-wide distribution, as well as
writing numerous articles, all on the life and times of Mr. King, a
native of
Durham and a graduate of Lisbon High School. The books have been
translated into many languages. The audience learned that Mr. King is
far
more popular in foreign countries than even in the United States.
Mr. Wood invited questions about his association with Mr. King, and
welcomed any anecdotes and displays of memorabilia relating to the early
life
of Mr. King.
